Lockout hasp

A lockout hasp is a device used in lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure that dangerous machinery or equipment remains inoperable during maintenance or servicing. It is a metal device with multiple loops or hooks that can accommodate multiple padlocks. The lockout hasp is placed around the energy-isolating device of the equipment, and each worker performing maintenance attaches their own padlock to the hasp. This ensures that the equipment cannot be restarted until all workers have completed their tasks and removed their padlocks. The use of a lockout hasp adds an extra layer of security and control to LOTO procedures, helping to prevent accidents and protect workers.
