On May 15, the conference on dialogue among Asian civilizations will open in Beijing.
With the theme of “Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Asian Civilizations and a Community of Shared Future”, this conference is another important diplomatic event hosted by China this year, following the second One Belt And One Road international cooperation summit BBS and the Beijing world horticultural expo.
Leaders of many countries, heads of UNESCO and other international organizations, and representatives from 47 countries in Asia and nearly 50 countries outside the region will gather in Beijing to focus on the common destiny and contribute wisdom to the development and progress of human civilization.
Apart from the outcome documents, the conference will also sign a series of multilateral and bilateral initiatives and agreements in the media, think tanks, tourism, film and television, and cultural heritage protection, release a number of major project outcomes and research reports, and introduce concrete and practical measures.
We hope that this grand gathering of civilizations, with a high starting point and a high level, will be a highlight in the history of exchanges of civilizations and inject new impetus into the spirit of the new era for the harmonious coexistence and integrated development of the world.
